Graham's welcomes brass quintet to Quinta dos Malvedos
This year's harvest saw Graham's partner with Orquestra Sem Fronteiras* and the town of Alijó to hold two special performances of what has become the soundtrack of this year's harvest – Iron Horse by Kevin McKee.
Alijó lies close to Quinta dos Malvedos, and the brass quintet performed for residents at two local care homes for the elderly run by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Alijó.
Commenting on what was a moving experience for all, Mafalda Lopes Mendes, Alijó's Municipal Executive, attested to the unique power of music to "connect us, heal us, care for us."
*Based in Idanha-a-Nova in central Portugal, Orquestra Sem Fronteiras is an NGO that aims to support young talent and bring music to the country's central areas.
