Following an amazing year of achievement in 2006, when Symington Family Estates Ports won a Port Trophy and a total of 4 Gold and 16 Silver Medals at the International Wine Challenge, a further Port Trophy and a Gold Medal and 9 Silver Medals at the Decanter awards and a Port Trophy and 5 Gold and 22 Silver Medals at the International Wine and Spirit Competition, it seemed impossible that this record could be surpassed.

However, in 2007 Symington Family Estates Ports once again out-performed all other producers by a very substantial margin at these important and highly respected blind tastings. In the International Wine Challenge 2007, Symington Family Estates Ports achieved an extraordinary 6 Gold Medals and 15 Silver Medals - more than double that of their closest competitor who achieved 3 Golds and 6 Silvers. The third best placed producer gained 1 Gold and 4 Silver Medals.
